Experiments with albino rats showed that a new pyrido(1,2-a)pyrimidine derivative exhibited psychostimulant activity during the elaboration of avoiding response in a shuttle chamber. This effect was manifested as acceleration of learning. It was also shown that the compound possessed stress-protective activity in a model of acute emotional stress caused by disturbance of the adequacy of the cause-result relationships in experimental environment. This affect was similar of that of piracetam.
