Tissue specificity of the effects of glucocorticoids on beta-adrenoreceptor density was shown. In the lungs, the hormone increased the number of the receptors. Glucocorticoids increased the density of the receptors in the cerebral cortex neither under normal conditions nor after actions that decreased their number.
