Anabolic doses of intramuscular insulin significantly decrease blood content of fructose and glycolysed haemoglobin in patients with terminal chronic renal failure. At the same time, activity of amylase and gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase increases, number of insulin-carrying erythrocytes comes to the norm.
