(D-Ala-2)DSIP peptide proved to induce a significantly stronger representation of slow and paradoxical sleep starting several hours after the infusion up to the end of a 12-hour night experimental period. (D-Tyr-1)DSIP peptide increased slow sleep during the sixth and the ninth hours of registration. Analogues of these peptides produced no significant effect.
