Affinity chromatography on mononuclear antibodies was used to isolate and describe epithelial antigen of fat globule membranes of breast milk with the molecular weight of approximately 400 KDa. The milk contained 40-50% of carbohydrates. Oligosaccharide chains bound to polypeptide by O-glycoside link were observed. Antigen determinant was located in the polypeptide area of the antigen molecule. The development of high molecular weight aggregates, apparently, takes place at the account of N-acetylneuraminic acid.
