Radioprotective effect of a complex preparation of lymphokinin cytokines

Prophylactic and therapeutic radioprotectorant effects of intraperitoneal lymphokinin, a combined cytokine preparation (25,000 units per kilogram), was studied in white mice with acute radiation sickness. Optimal terms of lymphokinin administration proved to depend on the radiation dose. The most pronounced effect was observed when the preparation was administered 24 hours and 1 hour before irradiation. Therapeutic effect of the drug was produced 23 hours after the irradiation of 6.0 gray.
