A total of 214 women had copper T 200 IUD inserted at 6 wk post-partum. Half of these women had had a caesarean section while the other half had a vaginal delivery. No accidential pregnancy of perforation was observed in either of the groups. However, the event rates for expulsion and removals for bleeding and pain were slightly higher in post-caesarean section women as compared to those who had delivered normally.
