In Cameroon the neo-colonial power of Ahidjo has abandonned subsistence crops for cash crops (coffee, cocoa, cotton, etc.). These crops essentially benefit international capital and its local servants while the rural masses remain in poverty, with a resultant flight from the land. The study examines the importance of this outmigration, its causes and consequences and possible ways of dealing with the problem.
