The planned development of manpower replacement for agriculture and food production in Czechoslovakia and increasing improvements in living and working conditions of all workers, require important measures to intensify social development and similar improvements in these two sectors. These measures should include more efficient control and better planning of social development which should be linked to the economic plan. The programme and the planning of staffing levels of social development should be compared with those in other sectors and attention should be paid to disparities both between sectors and within the food and agricultural sector.
