The effect of venous occlusion on fibrinolysis and platelet-vascular hemostasis was studied in thirteen patients. Some signs of initial activation of intravascular coagulation which intensified after venous occlusion were observed. The total fibrinolytic activity of the blood was found to be lower. The compensatory potentials of endothelium with respect to the secretion of the tissue plasminogen activator did not change in the III-IV class angina.
