Our dynamic test for patients with lesions of the cerebellar hemispheres

The test was performed in 58 patients undergoing neurosurgical operations for tumours of the cerebellar hemispheres. In the proposed test one type of response prevailed significantly, with rotation around the long axis of the body toward the healthy hemisphere through an angle exceeding 60-90 degrees when the lower extremity on the side of the healthy hemisphere was put forward, while no rotation occurred when the lower extremity on the side of the damaged hemisphere was put forward. This type of response was obtained in 75.9% of all studied patients. The conclusion is that the test of reeling waking on site is of high diagnostic value in damage to the cerebellar hemispheres.
