A 2.5 year-old, female Himalayan cat presented with infertility. The cat had had regular oestrous cycles and had been mated with a proven fertile male on several occasions. Ultrasound examination 45 days after one mating revealed a fluid filled uterus with no evidence of pregnancy. Ultrasonic examinations one week and 4 months later revealed no apparent change. An ovariohysterectomy was performed. Gross examination showed bicornual dilatation and segmental aplasia of the right uterine horn with a cord-like piece of tissue connecting the rostral portion to the body of the uterus. The junction between the left uterine horn and the body of the uterus was microscopically non-patent. The endometrium and both ovaries appeared to be normal.
