The effectiveness and safety of the combined preparation [A/S] was studied in 48 adults and 57 children with various infections. It was found that A/S is an antibiotic with a broad activity spectrum. A/S exhibits high activity with respect to ampicillin-resistant strains of Staphylococcus, Haemophilus, gram-negative bacteria and anaerobic microorganisms. The preparation exhibits high clinical and bacteriological effectiveness in the treatment of a wide range of pyo-inflammatory diseases in adults and children. Recommendations were made for using A/S to treat upper and lower respiratory infections, surgical infections, and skin and soft tissue infections. A/S can be used for empiric therapy before the identification of a pathogen.
