Three cases of benign tumors of the esophagus are presented, 2 leiomyomas and 1 lypoma. The clinical manifestations and propedeutic methods for the diagnosis of these neoplasms are discussed. All three cases were treated with conservative surgery, performing enucleation of the tumor. The good results obtained justify the use of this conduct, thus avoiding esophagectomy.
