A report of five cases of ano-rectal tuberculosis has been presented. The necessity for careful study in differentiating the lesion from carcinoma has been illustrated. It is stressed that amoebic and tuberculous granulomata should also be considered in the differential diagnosis of ano-rectal lesions simulating carcinoma.
