Determinant factors in uterine rupture following previous caesarean section

A retrospective analysis was made of 21 of 65 cases of ruptured uteri in order to know the determinant factors in uterine rupture following a previous caesarean section scar. The identifiable factors were grouped as patients factor (40%), medical factors (56%) and administrative factors (4%). To reduce the risks of uterine rupture after a previous casarean section, health education should be included in health promotion programmes. There is a need for more medical supervision of cases.
