The characteristics of the clinical course and treatment of acantholytic pemphigus in children

Six children suffering from acantholytic pemphigus were followed up. The disease manifestations in childhood are diverse and therefore the condition is diagnosed and the treatment started too late. Combined therapy including corticosteroids in optimal doses, fortifying agents, and drugs eliminating the side effects of steroid therapy, was fairly effective.
