The following is virtually the authors' abstract. Chick embryos 4-7 days old were infected with Plasmodium gallinaceum by allowing infected Aedes aegypti (L.) to feed on the chorioallantoic membrane in the egg airspace. Of 612 mosquitos given access to the embryos for 41/2 hr., 351 engorged. Although 60 of the 152 embryos exposed died within eight days, 83 of 92 embryos that survived were infected with exoerythrocytic stages of the parasite.
