A case is reported in a 53-yr-old man undergoing continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis who developed peritonitis with C. lunata [Cochliobolus lunatus] and Gram-negative Enterobacteriaceae. The fungus was present in the Tenckhoff catheter, obstructing the flow. The patient recovered following therapy with flucytosine (1.5 g orally every 6 h for 5 d) and intraperitoneal gentamicin and vancomycin and removal of the catheter.
