Female albino rats weighing 200-250 g received intragastrically carbophos solution in doses of 100, 10 and 5 mg/kg corresponding to 1/10, 1/100 and 1/200 of LD50 on the 11th, 13th, 15th and 17th days of pregnancy. Two-month old young rats were tested to determine addiction to carbophos. It was found that the body weights of the offspring of the rats given carbophos in doses of 10 and 5 mg/kg were musch less than in control. The studies showed that the antenatal administration of carbophos induces the development of addiction to the agent in the offspring (predominantly females).
