Based on the results of a study on 75 families of children with cancer in Taiwan, the author, with assistance from nurses, physicians and the Chinese community, initiated the development of a Childhood Cancer Foundation. The author summarizes the study, the outcome of the study, and recommends several readings for nurses working with Chinese families.
