The state of the blood coagulation system was studied in 85 diabetes mellitus patients. The importance of hemostatic shifts in the development and progress of diabetic angiopathy was confirmed. High hemocoagulation potential was revealed in diabetes mellitus patients. This phenomenon was manifested by increased content of fibrinogen and its degradation products, as well as by a decreased heparin content. Significant changes were observed in the thrombocytic link of the hemostatis system at the initial stages of angiopathy. Changes in the coagulatory link of the hemostatic system reflect clearly pronounced vascular disturbances. Recommendations were made for using hyperbaric oxygenation to treat various variants of diameter angiopathy. However, the positive effect of hyperbaric oxygenation was observed only at the initial stages of the disease.
