In India, 3 anthelmintics were tested in sheep with amphistomiasis due to Cotylophoron cotylophorum and Gastrothylax crumenifer infections. 100 and 95-24% of sheep survived after treatment with niclosamide at 50 mg. per kg. body-weight, 95-24 and 15-71% survived after-treatment with recommended doses of hexachlorophene and 80% survived after Freon BU at 330 mg. per kg.
