Three polymorphic forms of mebendazole (A, B and C) were identified by infra-red spectrometry and X-ray diffraction techniques. A technique for determining the amount of the polymorphic form C in pure mebendazole and in tablets is described. This analytical approach is simple and the results are satisfactory.
