A matched case-control study of Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) in Yinchuan City was reported the family history of CHD (.chi.2 = 9.63, P < 0.01, OR = 4.00), family history of hypertension (.chi.2 = 13.29, P < 0.01, OR = 2.93), history of hypertension (.chi.2 = 49.72, P < 0.01, OR = 13.00). A type character (.chi.2 = 20.27 P < 0.01, OR = 2.95), corpulent (.chi.2 = 6.30, P < 0.05, OR = 1.92), often-drink spirits (.chi.2 = 6.72, P < 0.01, OR = 5.00), heavy cigarette smoking (.chi.2 = 5.64, P < 0.01, OR = 1.91) and hypercholesterolemia(.chi.2 = 4.50, P < 0.05, OR = 3.50) were found significantly related to CHD in this area; but there was no significant statistic relationship between hyperlipemia, .beta.-hyperlipoprotesnemia, like-eating fat and CHD.
