The importance of cytologic study methods in the preoperative morphologic diagnosis of ovarian tumors

The results of cytologic and histological diagnosis were compared in 779 cases of ovarian tumors. They were found to match in 96.7%; histologic pattern of tumor was identified on the basis of cytologic data in 76.3% of cases.
