A series of 67 patients with spontaneous epistaxis was treated with a citrus bioflavinoid compound. Although the bleeding could be controlled, in most patients, with some topical procedure, the citrus preparation as a general remedial aid almost invariably prevented recurrence of the bleeding. The effectiveness of the supplementary treatment was demonstrated once the medication was discontinued prematurely.
