A summary is given of work by the authors on helper T-cell clones from B10.A mice, specific for pigeon cytochrome c. The results indicate that H-2 restriction of antigen recognition by the T-cell receptor is associated with the expression of a particular V beta D beta J beta combination in the context of a given V alpha gene segment.
