Genetic determination of mercury chloride resistance of bacteria

Mercury bacterial resistance has the same resistance pattern as several antibiotics which are plasmidic mediated. The study of the responsive mechanism would permit to make of a pattern to test molecules which neutralize plasmid resistance. Mercury resistant bacterials trains [Escherichia coli] were isolated and plasmidic mediated resistance was shown. The comparison of the two strains behavior towards mercury is the purpose of this work. The comportment is shown different according as implicated plasmid has or hasn't mercury resistant genes.
