A case of human coccidiosis

An Egyptian woman suffering with watery diarrhoea, colic, fever and dizziness for 2 days, was diagnosed as a case of Isospora belli infection based on the presence of oocysts in faeces. The patient's condition improved following iv infusions and medication with Septrin at 2 tablets twice daily for 7 days.
