Omental cyst in a child

Omental cyst is a rare finding in children. In a 4-year-old girl who presented with abdominal distention, the diagnosis of omental cyst was made on sonography. The cyst was completely excised and recovery was uneventful. Whenever a large, painless, slow-growing, mobile abdominal mass occurs, omental cyst should be considered in the differential diagnosis.
