Breeding of Akodon arviculoides (Rodentia, Cricetidae) in laboratory is described here. Litter size ranged from 2 to 9. The male and female maturity arrived at the age of 22 to 63 days (.hivin.x = 34.9 and 40.9 respectively). The oestrus cycle was completed between 4 to 8 days. Ten monogamic couples observed during one year grow to a population of 143 individuals (sex ratio 0.88). Gestation length was about 23 days. Successful in reproduction of 75 couples observed during 18 months, was 30.6%.
