Rheovasographic parameters of lower-limb regional blood flow, and lipid metabolism were assessed in 35 trental-treated patients with lower-limb arterial atherosclerosis and in 40 normal subjects. Blood volume increased, and vascular tonicity and elasticity improved in the affected limbs following treatment. Activated transcapillary metabolism is reflected in increased capillary permeability and lymph microflow rate, accompanied with a transition of plasma cholesterol ethers from liquid crystalline to isotropic state.
