Nitrogen was estimated in 20 varied samples by a modified Kjeldahl method, by the Hach method using digestion and spectrophotometry, and by the Kjeltec method which uses multisample block digestion and automated distillation. There were significant differences between the values obtained for 5 samples. Overall mean respective values were N 6.84, 6.77 and 6.75% in DM.
