Extracts of some species of Eucalyptus were found to be hypotensive. The active principle occurred in the highest concentrations in the leaves but was also found in the phloem, roots and to a lesser extent in the xylem. Of 29 Eucalyptus spp. available for assay E. robusta had the most activity.
