The ultrastructural study of intranuclear inclusions observed in the plasma cells of two patients diagnosed respectively of multiple myeloma and Sjogren syndrome, is reported. The electron density of these nuclear structures allowed the distinction of two types of inclusions in the first case: some voluminous corpuscles of low electron density, and others, less abundant and smaller, which density was similar to that of Rusell bodies. Both types of corpuscles were surrounded by a unique membrane, and in some instances its relationship with the internal wall of the perinuclear cisterna could be assessed. In the second case, on the contrary, only Rusell body-like inclusions could be found, and no limiting membrane was seen.
