An otherwide normal 63-year-old woman, treated for onychomycosis for six months with Ketoconazole, 200 mg daily, developed rapidly progressive liver failure. There was no clinical or serologic evidence for viral hepatitis. We assume that Ketoconazole was the cause of the fatal liver necrosis.
