The distribution of DDT in fetuses and new-born rats after daily dosage to pregnant and lactating rats, respectively, was investigated gas chromatographically. The compound passed the transplacentral barrier and cumulated to a high extent in the uterine tissue. The metabolic patterns of DDT are the same in fetal and new-born rats.
