Biological characteristics and proteolytic activity of strains of aerobic sporulating bacteria isolated from pathological material

The paper is devoted to the studies of biological peculiarities of strains of aerobic spore-forming bacteria isolated from the pathological material and of their proteolytic activity. 12 strains referring to different species of Bacillus are investigated. All of them are pathogenic, differ in sensitivity to antibiotics of different groups and able to biosynthesis of the elastolytic enzymes. Strains also differ in growth rate and specific elastase activity value of the culture liquid. Strains 7, 8, 24, 33, and 36 are the most active producers of elastases possessing, besides, the hemolytic activity.
