The successful use of endotracheal administration of 0.3 mg epinephrine (3 ml of a 1:10 000 dilution with isotonic saline solution) in a foal with cardiac arrest is reported. Cardiac arrest had occurred while the 2-day-old foal was under anaesthesia for laparotomy to investigate a suspected congenital abnormality of the digestive system.
