Production of anatoxin during the growing of Pseudomonas aeruginosa on a casein nutrient medium

The cultivation of toxigenic strain PA-66-16 on the casein medium with the amino nitrogen content not less than 150 mg% for three days provided the production of Pseudomonas aeruginosa anatoxin, which did not yield in the protective activity the preparation obtained when growing the given microorganism on the Marten broth for 24 hours. The substitution of the Marten broth for the casein medium in the process of the Pseudomonas aeruginosa anatoxin production permitted obtaining a 10-fold decrease in the dry weight of the preparation.
