Interbeat-interval (IBI), pulse arrival time (PAT), integrated bioelectrical muscle activity (i.EMG), and force were recorded continuously during fatiguing and non-fatiguing load-varied bouts of hand-grip contractions. Univariate and bivariate autoregressive models were adapted to the physiological time series consisting of mean values of 10 s intervals of the IBI, PAT, i.EMG, and force data. The computed cross correlations and coherence spectra of pairs of these time series reveal the relations between the recorded physiological parameters. The procedures described here demonstrate how to obtain information about the interrelations between various time series, most specifically regarding separate influence factors.
