Population growth and sustainable development

In the transition to a globalized marketplace, little consideration is being paid to the social dimensions of economic growth. Growth projections for the economy do not always take into consideration population growth or the status of the environment. This paper presents the discussion on a recent workshop focusing on the India Country Study, a four-year long project on the consequences of population growth.
