The Authors have determined-in 25 patients suffering from duodenal ulcer treated for six months with H2 antagonist-PRL plasmatic levels before and during the same treatment. The Authors have confirmed that H2 antagonist drugs do not change in a significant way PRL plasmatic levels. CM: 14 Pat = T0: 3.18 .+-. 2,4 ng/ml; T6: 3.12 .+-. 1,2 RN: 10 Pat = T0: 2,96 .+-. 1,7 T6: 3,00 .+-. 1,6. In a non-responder patient, basal hyperprolactinemia, was not modified by therapy with ranitidine, this is likely connected with a condition of intense and protracted stress.
