Dynamics of myocardial contractility and indicators of the central hemodynamics in patients with chronic renal failure treated by hemodialysis

Cardio- and hemodynamics and changes in these indices under the effect of hemodialysis were studied in 22 patients with chronic renal insufficiency. Leveling of the disturbed homeostasis had a favorable effect on myocardial contractility and hemodynamics. On the other hand, extracorporal circulation created by hemodialysis was a load on the cardiovascular system. In 67.6% hemodialysis improved myocardial contractility and hemodynamics, which point to the retention of myocardial potentials. In 32.4% of the cases exhaustion of the reserve functional potentials of the myocardium was observed.
