Prophylactic administration of the three nonspecific immunostimulants to 209 young cattle in 12 herds reduced the frequency of bronchopneumonia, particularly of serious infection. Similarly, the therapeutic use of these products was also efficacious, as shown by results in 522 cattle in 20 herds. Results were best during the first week. 165 cattle were used as controls. There was very little difference in efficacy between the three products. As the optimal effect is on the third day, a second administration 7 days after the first is recommended.
