A control group of male rabbits 4 months old were given a normal diet of bread, carrots and grass. An experimental group of rabbits had sago, carrots, wheat and grass, salt and vitamins. All were killed when 6 months old. Autopsy failed to show any evidence of coronary atherosclerosis in either group; in view of the trend towards increased serum total lipid and triglyceride, a larger study is recommended.
