Glucose was estimated in erythrocytes and plasma of 23 men and 28 women with atherosclerosis and in 16 healthy subjects. In the normal subjects values were from 87 to 109 mg/100 ml in plasma and from 78 to 100 mg/100 ml in erythrocytes; in the patients corresponding values were 109 to 221 and 56 to 160.
