Interactions between six warm-season legumes and three species of root-knot nematodes

Aeschynomene americana, Alysicarpus vaginalis, Cajanus cajan, Crotalaria spectabilis, Desmodium heterocarpon and Indigofera hirsuta were tested for their reaction to Meloidogyne arenaria, M. incognita and M. javanica. Only C. spectabilis exhibited no signs of galls, egg masses or reproduction by any of the 3 Meloidogyne species. I. hirsuta showed moderate resistance.
