In the anterior chamber of the rabbit eye, the rate of appearance and the inflow and the outflow of water under control condition and after pretreatment with timolol [a .beta.-blocking drug] 0.5% ophthalmic solution, were determined. In the aqueous humor HCO3-, Na+, K+ content and pH was determined. Timolol apparently acts on the inflow (production) of aqueous humor.
